Yolonda “Jyoti Devi” Cameron is an attorney with the Office of the General Counsel at Georgia Institute of Technology. She has over 24 years of higher education experience with a current emphasis on international, transactional, trademark and copyright law, filming on campus matters, institute process improvement as well as employee well-being, engagement, inclusion and belonging. She is a graduate of Jackson State University, Georgia Institute of Technology and The George Washington University National Law Center.
Yolonda is also a 200-hr certified Yoga Teacher. She graduated from Kashi Atlanta’s Classical Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 and 300-hr Kali Natha Yoga Teacher Training in 2022. She has practiced yoga for over 17 years and is a professed lifelong learner and student. Currently, she continues yoga studies with her Teacher Swami Jaya Devi and qigong studies with her Teacher Corinne Chaves. She has also studied Yin Yoga and Zen Meditation with her Teacher Douglas Johnson and Yoga Nidra and rest practices with Teachers Chitra Sukhu, Octavia Raheem, Tracee Stanley and Chanti Tacoronte-Perez.
She regularly attends yoga and yoga-related trainings and workshops to deepen her practice, hone her skills and share newly discovered practices with others. In her spare time, in addition to practicing yoga and qigong, Yolonda enjoys reading, crafting, freelance writing, watching movies, hiking and swimming.
