Our Story

Hope for Healthcare is an organization dedicated to providing relief programs to healthcare workers and advancing the research. We are focused on bringing hope & solutions to individuals and organizations whose employees suffer from work-related stress and trauma.

Tabitha Childers, our founder, worked in Atlanta's emergency medicine and trauma surgery departments for over 14 years as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner before experiencing severe burnout and moral injury. Now, she works to create programs to promote hope, healing, resilience, and community for healthcare workers.

Mission, Vision, & Values

Healing the Healers by creating actionable solutions to healthcare worker burnout and moral distress and providing resources to families who have lost a healthcare worker due to suicide or unintentional overdose.

Our Mission

To restore HOPE in HEALTHCARE.

Our Vision

Our Core Values

To promote HOPE, EMPATHY, and EMPOWERMENT in Healthcare Workers through Research, Education, Prevention, and Treatment.

Our Pillars

Hope for Healthcare was founded on four pillars, each representing our unique approach to trauma informed and human-centered programs.

RESEARCH

Research forms the basis of our efforts to understand how we can better serve healthcare workers. We plan to partner with major universities to discover how to best serve the aim of improved outcomes for both healthcare workers and patients.

EDUCATION

We partner with healthcare facilities and academic settings to empower healthcare workers with tools to improve both their mental and physical health. We deliver training that is actionable and accessible.

PREVENTION

Prevention means empowering healthcare workers with tools to regulate their nervous system, improve their mental and physical health, and promote both personal and career satisfaction.

TREATMENT

Treatment is a significant element to the work we do to help bring healthcare workers back to a state of balance, safety, and ease in their minds and bodies.
